Antique Mahogany Chest Of Drawers

A handsome antique mahogany chest of drawers with attractive figured drawer fronts framed by and ebony stringing. The chest is arranged as two short drawers over four long graduating drawers, all retaining brass swan-neck handles and working locks. Raised on shaped bracket feet, it has a well-figured top with matching crossbanded border and a warm, mellow colour throughout. A well-proportioned and elegant example with pleasing grain and patina.

CONDITION REPORT:
 
Good antique condition, solid and sound throughout. Age-related surface wear including marks, scratches and small knocks commensurate with age and use. Minor loss to cockbeaded edge of drawers and loss to front right edge of chest as shown. Drawers run well. Overall presenting very well.
