Antique Early Metalware Mid 18thc Copper Coffee Pot with Side Handled. English C1750-70.

Description

A very good example of a mid 18thc copper "tavern" or "coffee house" coffee-pot , it has a nicely shaped spout , attractive turned fruitwood side handle and an original shaped brass button finial on the flat lid....it is always pleasing to see the "castellated " seam which joins the body and the "butterfly" hinge....both signs of its early age.... and the seamed rolled copper spout... it has an excellent colour and is in fine original condition.
