This is a charming early oil portrait on panel of Jeanne-Agnes Berthelot de Pleneuf, Marquise de Prie. She wears a white silk dress in the portrait and she holds her pet bird. The portrait is framed in gilt swept frame. Some of the frame may need some minor restoration, bit it is in its original frame, see the reverse, and it is decorated with gilt gesso. It measures 19cm x 16.5cm and with the frame 37.5cm x 33.5cm. The painting is in very good condition. A really lovely oil portrait.
