Prometheus Antiques has dated this Heraldic Coat of Arms Painting to the 1850s.
Painted on paper the device is in superb condition with strong bright colours. The work is framed in a period gilt frame that is most likely the original. The frame is in good antique condition with the odd minor knock. A lovely example of a heraldic device, probably representing a marriage and unusual in that the motto is vacant. C.1850.
