A 19th-century mahogany stick barometer, signed P. Caminada, Taunton, the swan-neck pediment centered by a brass finial above a silvered register plate with vernier scale engraved “Stormy”, “Much Rain”, “Rain”, “Change”, and “Fair”, with mercury thermometer to the trunk and a circular cistern cover to the base. Almost certainly made in London by the Ronchetti family (Clerkenwell) for the provincial retailer, c.1820–1830.
