Description

A Monumental Pair of English Wrought Iron Fire Dogs, Andirons 82cm tall C1900.

A very fine pair of substantial andirons, the 82cm tall fire dogs topped with cresset top cups and forged standards, with ornate scrollwork and spit-hooks on arched supports, standing upon 53cm square section billet-bars.

A magnificent pair of hand forged, perhaps estate made wrought iron antique fire dogs of considerable scale and exceptional skilled forging, estimated date circa 1900.
