Miles Griffiths Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
Although later painted, this is not a brand new repaint, done years ago. The English antique pine chest is very good quality with two short drawers over three long and graduating drawers, they all run smoothly and are clean inside and they all have the original turned knob handles. Stands well on original turned bun feet, a lovely one-off model with a very decorative and skilfully hand painted design that has lovely wear from use. The chest dates to 1840.
