Description

A Charles I oak table desk. The sloping fall with original iron hinges and studding, having a narrow strip of null carving down either side indicating, the interior fitted. The front rail, with original lock plate, having the initials E and L with a small makers stamp RH. An interesting desk in good original condition, there is an old repair to the bottom of the fall( see old strengtheners on the inside )and there are old screw holes on either side indicating that at one time the fall has been screwed down. The table underneath and the brass candlesticks are just props. English or Welsh Circa 1640.
