Description

A German Jugendstil dragonfly dish by Erhard, dating to circa 1910. The shallow circular form is raised on small ball feet and worked in dark-stained wood with brass inlay forming the insect and surrounding foliate border. The wings are finely segmented with geometric patterning, while the eyes are set with iridescent abalone shell. The combination of organic line and decorative metalwork reflects early 20th-century German Art Nouveau design.
