A Very Good Quality Early 19th Century Regency Period Rosewood Miniature Chest, Having Well Figured Top Over Four Long Drawers, With Later Turned Brass Knobs And Boxwood Strung Decoration, Raised On Elegant Original Splay Feet.This is a lovely example of 19th century georgian miniature furniture. What seems a relatively plain and ordinary rectangular miniature chest of drawers at first glance is actually particularly charming, made using extremely well figured rosewood timbers and it stands with real elegance and importance for something of relatively small scale.The brass turned knobs are not original, but it stands on its original bracket feet which are very elegant.
