Shackladys Antiques has dated this piece to the 1900s.

The façade is constructed from polished brass panels, the surface warm in tone with a mellow, reflective finish that highlights the quality of the metal. The central frieze is punctuated by a series of evenly spaced, vertically pierced slots, providing ventilation while lending a rhythm and visual lightness to the otherwise solid form. Interspersed across the front and returns are applied circular rosettes, each cast with radiating detail and mounted in regular intervals to create a balanced decorative scheme. These classical motifs reference late Georgian and Regency design influences, where symmetry and refined ornament were paramount.

The upper edge is neatly folded and subtly stepped, creating a crisp architectural line along the top rail. Below, a moulded plinth base projects slightly outward, giving the piece visual weight and grounding it firmly at floor level.
