This lovely mahogany bed is brimming with detail and has lovely arched shaping on the head end which has lovely fluted and tapered column posts with stunning brass Corinthian column shaped capitol. Further brass detailing seen throughout the bed with very nice brass regency style moulding and quadrant brass beading along the edges of the woodwork. Stunning mahogany and fruitwood parquetry throughout. The head end and main section of the foot end has diamond shape parquetry and the foot end also has delightful quarter veneer detailing just under the top of the foot end, and particularly attractive chequered parquetry at the bottom of the foot end. The foot end of the bed also has fabulous fluted tapered posts adorned with brass ormolu floral garland. As well as lots of brass beading to define thew woodwork and shaping of the bed.
