French Marble Top Sideboard C.1930

1920 - 1940
Description

Quality French walnut and marble top sideboard c.1930. Thick marble top with rounded projecting front corners and a moulded edge. Over three oak lined drawers and a three door cupboard fitted with a single long shelf inside (depth 16"). Decorative front with carved and moulded drawers and shaped and raised door panels carved with a basket of fruit to the centre. Note also the shaped bottom edges to the doors, an unusual feature. Original brass handles, escutcheon plates and hinges. Further carved detail to the corner pilasters and front feet and to the elaborately shaped apron at the front and sides. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Keys supplied for the drawers and doors.

This French Provincial sideboard dates from 1930 and is constructed from warm brown walnut with a polished multi-toned marble top. The piece stands at 104 cm high, 175.5 cm wide, and 56 cm deep, offering substantial storage capacity for any dining room or hallway. The thick marble top features rounded projecting front corners and a moulded edge, resting above three oak-lined drawers fitted with cast brass pull handles.
