Classical antique Sarouk runner, distressed with signs of wear, structurally very good and it has been secured on both sides and at either end to protect it. Supplied with our sturdy anti-slip underlay, this will add body and strength stopping the runner from moving on the floor.Sarouk use intricate all over designs with lovely floral bunches, well drawn and with subtle pink to peach tones for the main field colour.  Deep royal blue dyes used for the border and hints of teal blues and golds too.  Sarouk''s were woven in the village of Saruk in the Arak region of Persia.Sarouk rugs have been produced for much of the 20th century.
