The rectangular top with gilt-tooled burgundy leather writing surface above three frieze drawers with Arts and Crafts diagonal grooving and original gilded brass handles, supported on two banks of graduated drawers with unusual inset turned handles, and drawer linings in solid ash (sign of quality Scottish cabinetmaking). In excellent condition.
