Description

-Welcome to Mersham Manor Antiques-

A charming large 19th century copper cauldron, which would have originally been used for cooking food over a fire.

This unusually large cauldron would now work perfectly as a log bin due to it`s wonderful large size.

The copper has developed a beautiful aged verdigris finish and generally a wonderful aged patina and textured character.

Having heavy sturdy hand forged iron strap-work sides with iron loop handles used for hanging over a fire. The base shows signs of the flames which would have once heated this large cauldron up, which just adds to it`s historical charm.

Very solid sturdy and strong.

The dimensions are.

Height-36cm.

Width taken at base-52cm. Width taken at the top opening outer edge-42cm.

Depth-52cm
