Antique Hand Coloured Portrait Miniature

Description

This is a beautiful miniature portrait engraving hand painted in watercolours dating from around 1820. The painting is reputedly of the infamous Nell Gwynn and is in a superb burr walnut cushion frame with a wonderful warm colour and antique patina which suits it admirably. The frame measures 18 cms by 16 cms and the portrait is 8 cms by 9 cms.
