A large antique oak dresser base dating from the late 18th / early 19th Century. It has an arrangement of five drawers and two cupboards. Each drawer has brass plate handles which, although aren''t original suit the piece well and both cupboards have a working lock with a key. It is a stylish and well made piece with panelled sides and nicely shaped cupboard doors.It is in good condition for its age and has been sympathetically restored to ensure it is strong and sturdy. There are some signs of age and use, some minor marks and knocks and small chips but nothing detrimental and it displays well with a lovely patina. There have been some repairs and restorations over the years but nothing untoward. The drawers open smoothly and the interior is generally clean and tidy. There are some minor signs of old woodworm which have all been treated as a precaution and haven''t affected the dresser structurally or aesthetically.
