A 20th century Hungarian copy of a so called 17th century Transylvanian rug The wool pile is uniform and in excellent, original condition. The earlier examples were so prized that an industry sprang up in the early 20th century in Hungary to reproduce these interesting rugs and satisfy the local market. A charming and pretty little rug, clean and ready for your floor.
