Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

The George III period, spanning from 1760 to 1820, is characterised by refined craftsmanship, classical proportions, and the use of quality timbers such as mahogany and walnut, often featuring understated ornamental detailing.

Traditional bellows are typically constructed using solid hardwoods such as walnut or oak for the body, flexible leather for the chamber expansion, and brass for the nozzle and decorative tacking.

Authenticity is indicated by hand-cut dovetails or joins, patinated timber with natural wear, hand-beaten brass tacks, and period-appropriate leather texture rather than modern synthetic adhesives.

Antique fire bellows can be mounted on a living room wall as sculptural folk art or placed neatly beside a working fireplace to add historical character and texture to the hearth area.

Preservation involves keeping the item away from direct heat sources and moisture, occasionally treating the leather with a neutral conditioning wax, and dusting the timber gently with a dry, soft cloth.
