Antique Mahogany Military Campaign Desk

1920 - 1940
Description

A superb antique mahogany military campaign desk / writing table. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1930’s.

It is very well made and has a very smart design. The mahogany has a gorgeous colour tone and wonderful grain patterns, the wood is offset beautifully by the brass details. This is a very useful size, and is finished nicely on the back as well, so it can be used as a free standing item.

We have had this re-polished, it is in excellent condition for its age. There are some small marks and indentations here and there beneath the polish, giving this a wonderful patina.

Depth – 21 inches , 54 cm

Height – 30 inches , 76 cm

Knee height – 23.5 inches , 59 cm

Knee width – 22 inches , 55 cm
