A late 18th to early 19th century mahogany chest of drawers, English c.1800. The design features two short drawers over three long drawers, each fitted with original brass swan-neck handles and escutcheons. Raised on shaped bracket feet, the chest has a simple moulded edge to the top and finely dovetailed drawer construction, typical of the period. The warm patina of the mahogany highlights the quality craftsmanship associated with Georgian furniture.
