Description

Italian. Circa 1870. Grand tour marble relief depicting two nude Bacchantes, one portrayed plucking flowers from a tazza held aloft by the other. Unsigned. The heavy marble mounted in a later oak frame.

The marble 49.5 x 33. Depth 30 cm. The frame 36.5 x 53 cm

Provenance: Previously the property of a Lady, and thence by descent.
