Here we have a beautiful Mahogany and Satin birch early Victorian desk c 1850. The desk as you would expect has wonderful colour and patina. The Satin Birch as always looks stunning. The golden colour and light catching pattern of Satin Birch makes these desks decorative and eyecatching. The desk has turned mahogany knobs on its 9 drawers all of which are solid Mahogany lined with handcut dovetail joints. The desk has been beautifully polished and has a burgundy tooled leather skiver with gold detailing which picks up the colour of the golden Birch finish. The desk is of lovely quality and splits into three. The pedestals have revealed dovetail constrcution and retain thier original casters underneath. A stunning desk of great proportions and quality in strong retail condition ready for your home.
