Prometheus Antiques has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The whole set are in excellent condition and in the original bird’s eye maple frames, the three black silhouettes also have the original convex glass. The reverse of the silhouettes also retain a large amount of information regarding the Strachan family of London. It is exceptionally unusual for such a fine quality group of family silhouettes to remain together and as a group they have a huge amount of decorative impact.
