Antique and Unique has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
It has what appears to be the original paint finish, which is dark green with gold details.

This doesn’t really fit in my photography area so apologies for the poor photos!
This bed is a very attractive item, with a lovely curvy sleigh shape, and has been used over the last twenty years or so as an occasional bed for visiting grandchildren. The lady we bought it from had the mattress and base made to fit it. It isn’t quite a full size single mattress, but is more than adequate for children (or adults if not too tall). It would also make a lovely piece of furniture for a conservatory or garden room.

It breaks down into legs, side/end rails and ends by unfastening eight nuts. I reassembled this without too much trouble on my own, though it would definitely be easier with two people.
Condition: The paint finish has general wear which is shown in the photos, though nothing excessive. A couple of the nuts and bolts that hold it all together are a little stiff and reluctant to tighten up fully, but they tighten enough to get everything secure. The mattress is a little discoloured at one end and has an ink stain on one side. The base has some marks around the edges.
