A good late 19th century oil painting on artists board of a young girl set in landscape wearing a crucifix around her neck and a lace bonnet.

The painting is very well executed and captures the essence of the girl and the era that she was painted in.

The beautiful girl has such an enigmatic gaze that she really connects with the viewer and her eyes portray deep thought and emotion.

A fascinating and beautiful work with great complex charm.

The painting is in excellent condition dating from around 1900 and is framed in what appears to be the original frame which suits the work admirably.

The frame measures 50 cms by 42 cms overall.
