Antique Oil Painting Portrait in Good Renaisance Style Oval Frame

Description

This is a good antique oil painting on canvas dating from the late 18th or early 19th Century in later frame. The saintly female figure with downcast gaze is very enigmatic and the well executed painting has real atmosphere.

The painting is in a quality hand painted solid wood Renaissance style frame which suits it well. No signature can be seen to the canvas and its reverse has not been inspected out of the frame. It is in very good condition throughout with some craquelure but no losses.

The painting measures 65 cms by 53 cms overall (frame)
