A very good watercolour by Edward Christian Quayle (1872-1946) depicting dramatic coastal scene at Maughold Head, Isle of Man. A very dramatic composition; the stormy sea and crashing waves are very well executed as is typical of his work.

A great example of his work and rare to find paintings of the Maughold region. The painting has been professionally cleaned and reframed.
