A fantastic large scale 4 gallon English 19th century antique pottery ale or dairy milk jug. A wonderful shape with a generous curved handle and a nicely shaped spout. In amazing condition with no damage. The earthenware has a darker applied slip over the top half. Stamped to the base : 4 gallon.
