Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

During the Qing Dynasty, carved timber panels were essential architectural components used as window shutters, room dividers, screen inserts, and decorative wall features in residential and ceremonial buildings.

These panels were typically carved from native hardwoods such as camphorwood, pine, or elm using traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery. Decorative elements were carved in high relief and often finished with lacquer, polychrome pigments, and gold leaf gilding.

Authentic pieces exhibit signs of age including natural timber shrinkage around frame joints, uneven hand-carving marks, layered historical paint or lacquer, and characteristic wear on raised surfaces.

These vertical architectural elements can be mounted directly onto walls as focal art pieces, hung in pairs above a console table or sideboard, or framed as architectural feature panels in entryways.

Dust gently using a soft, dry camel-hair brush to clean recessed carved details. Keep the panels away from direct heat sources, high humidity, and prolonged sunlight to prevent timber warping and flaking pigment.
