Henry Robinson Hall (English, 1859–1927, fl. 1895-1902) noted Victorian and Edwardian landscape painter in oils and watercolors, primarily known for his scenes of Highland cattle, as well as other landscape paintings. Hall was born to Eliza Robinson in the City of York in 1859 and his name was initially registered as Henry Robinson, but his mother subsequently married John Storey Hall in August of 1867, hence the change of his surname to Robinson Hall. He moved to Newcastle upon Tyne, in northern England and by 1885, he was residing in Flyde, in Lancashire, where he married his wife Mary Annie Bleasdale. The couple later moved to Barrow in Furness and then Coniston in Cumbria, where he maintained his studio and also ran an artist's supply shop and cafe. Over the course of his career, he had also lived in a few other cities to include; Elswick, Blackpool, and Woodland.

Hall exhibited from 1895-1903, and had one painting at the Royal Academy in 1903, two were shown at the Royal Society of Artists, Birmingham and one at the Royal Scottish Academy. He was also invited to be a member at the North British Academy of Arts in Newcastle upon Tyne in northern England. He died on May 31, 1927 at Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria, England and is buried in the churchyard of St. Andrews parish church at Coniston, Cumbria, England. His work can be found in numerous public & private collections, museums and galleries worldwide. Some collections include; The UK National Collection (seven paintings); The Oldham Art Gallery (two paintings); The Dock Museum (two paintings); The Lakeland Arts Trust (one painting); and Rossendale Museum (one painting), to name only a few. His paintings typically bear the signature of H.R. Hall.
