The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1940s.
The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number U485714 which dates it back to 1947.

The watch measures 22mm wide excluding the winding crown, and 30mm high excluding the lugs. It was originally designed as a man’s watch but would suit a slimmer wrist, or could be worn by a lady. The case is 14kt gold filled and was manufactured for Elgin by Schwab & Wuischpard. The case and the lens are in good condition.

The dial is signed Lord Elgin… Lord Elgin was a specific line of higher-end watches produced by Elgin. The dial is in good condition with original hands.
A new leather strap has been fitted.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
