Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Kasli cast ironwork refers to decorative iron castings produced at the Kasli foundry in the Ural Mountains of Russia, renowned since the nineteenth century for detailed openwork patterns and relief modelling.

These chargers were created using sand-casting or precision mould techniques, where liquid grey iron was poured into detailed impression moulds before undergoing manual hand-chasing, filing, and a black lacquer or soot-varnish coating.

Authentic Kasli pieces frequently feature impressed foundry marks, Cyrillic maker stamps, dates of manufacture, and crisp detailing within the pierced lattice and figural reliefs despite the hard metal medium.

A decorative cast iron charger can be displayed on a plate stand atop a sideboard, mounted as wall art in a library, or positioned on a fireplace mantelpiece to add architectural structure and textural depth.

Dust the surface regularly with a dry natural-bristle brush, keep the metalwork in a dry environment to prevent oxidisation, and occasionally apply a light layer of microcrystalline wax to preserve the dark finish.
