Gents boxed Garrard wrist watch, c1960.

The watch has a Swiss 17-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Garrard name, and it is all protected by an inner cover.

Garrards was founded in 1735 by George Wickes. They designed, manufactured and retailed luxury jewellery, silver and watches. The company is still trading today and as well has having their headquarters in Mayfair, London, they also have a presence in Harrods, London, Geneva, Lebanon, Qatar, Dubai, Moscow and Hong Kong. Garrard was the Crown Jeweller of the United Kingdom, charged with the upkeep of the British Crown Jewels from 1843 to 2007.

The watch measures 33mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is stainless steel and it is in good condition with just a little marking, nothing too serious at all. The back has a 1960 long service inscription from ICI.

The lens is in good condition.

The dial is in beautiful condition with original hands and centre seconds hand.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in its original Garrard presentation box.
