An excellent quality Georgian Mahogany chest of drawers dating from the mid to late 18th Century. They have good large proportions offering plenty of storage with two short over three long drawers. Each drawer has brass plate handles with matching escutcheons and they stand on bracket feet.
They are in very good condition for their age and are strong and sturdy. The drawers open smoothly and are generally clean and tidy inside, with just one missing lock. There are of course some signs of age and use, some minor old marks and knocks, small shrinkage splits and a couple of small repairs but nothing untoward or detrimental and overall it displays well.
