Small Georgian Figured Mahogany Chest of Drawers, Circa 1770

18th century
Description

Fine quality Georgian mahogany chest of drawers of small dimensions, with the flush top with a moulded edge over four graduated oak-lined drawers with figured mahogany fronts and surrounds, raised on shaped bracket feet, circa 1770.

The top drawer would originally have had simple compartments and held glass containers, hence the pull-outs below to take the weight.

(Would benefit from a polish. Small section of cock-beading missing off one drawer. Tiny replacements to veneer above each drawer lockplate.)
