RARE 9ct-GOLD PEARL SET GEORGIAN MILITARY PORTRAIT MINIATURE Sir William Barnard

Brief Description:

This is a rare, fascinating collection including a 9ct-Gold framed George III Miniature Oil on Agate Panel Portrait Painting depicting British Army Officer Sir Henry William Barnard (1799-1857).

Mounted within the original 1820s Double-Sided Oval 9ct-Gold Frame, comprising the Oil Portrait Painting on one side, together with a large lock of Bernard's hair, and freshwater pearls on the other.

The extraordinary collection also includes 3 antique Bank Cheques bearing the Barnard's name, and the relationship that the Barnard's family had with British high society and Banking circles.

Further included are two small military badges, thought also to have belonged to William Barnard.

Recently acquired from a private seller, who believes Sir Henry William Barnard was also a bodyguard to Queen Victoria?

This is a fascinating and an unrepeatable set for the serious collector.
