A framed, Nineteenth Century, hand coloured lithograph of an African woman. Titled in French and German.

Frederic Wentzel was born in 1807 and died in 1869 in Wissembourg. He was an engraver-printer who founded a major printing press. Initially devoted to religious images, this flourishing press diversified to produce a range of images that have been celebrated for their artistic quality.

Wooden frame in good condition. Recently re- backed.
