Great small size George 2nd / early George 3rd solid walnut chest of drawers. 4 long drawers with moulded edges, oak drawer linings and original iron locks. The chest stands on its original nice shape ogee bracket feet and has moulded canted corners to the carcass and a nicely moulded edge to the top. Most unusually this wee chest has a hidden drawer concealed in the frieze moulding of the top at the front as shown. The drawers have nice brass swan neck handles, most of which are original but a couple have had slightly larger handles at one time.
The chest is in very good condition for its age and is a nice mellow colour. It has been sympathetically re-polished.
