A lovely Italian carved alabaster sculpture of a female wheat gatherer signed by the Italian artist Pugi.

This sculpture is in good condition with fine detail.

Gugielmo Pugi (1850- 1915) born in Fiesole a small town close to Florence. He was a highly regarded and skilled sculptor who specialised in female figures and busts.
