Chase Hattan Watches has dated this Eterna Kontiki Super Watch to the 1960s.
The expedition involved a journey across the Pacific Ocean on a balsa wood raft named Kon-Tiki, with the goal of demonstrating that ancient civilizations could have traveled across oceans using primitive means.

Eterna, the Swiss watchmaker, created the KonTiki line of watches to commemorate this remarkable feat of exploration. These watches are designed to embody the spirit of adventure, resilience, and discovery associated with the Kon-Tiki expedition. The watches often feature robust construction, water resistance, and distinctive design elements that pay homage to the nautical theme.

The Eterna Matic KonTiki watches typically emphasize durability and reliability, making them suitable for both everyday wear and more demanding outdoor activities
From the research we’ve conducted, we gathered that this is a first generation Super-KonTiki and based on the serial number it is anticipated that the watch was produced in 1962. The watch features a 37mm stainless steel case, its original black T25 Swiss dial with arrow markers and date aperture at 3 and a rotating bezel with 10-minute markings.
The watch operates from an automatic movement and despite being water resistant we advise against using it in water due to its age.
Fitted to an unsigned black leather strap with a pin buckle.
