2 Georgian Spode Blue & White Zeus in His Chariot Plates

Description

These two ENGLISH GEORGIAN BLUE & WHITE TRANSFER PRINTED PLATES are decorated in the GREEK PATTERN made popular by the SPODE FACTORY and date from circa 1820.

The PLATES show ZEUS IN HIS CHARIOT within a border of medallions and vases.

There are no cracks. One Plate has a tiny filled chip to the edge and minor grazing to the edge. The other Plate has a minor surface chip to the back.

The diameter of the Plates is slightly different.

Diameter Plate 1: 9.75 inches (25 cm)

Diameter Plate 2: 9.6 inches (24.5 cm)
