Description

A stunning antique French marble top bombe commode owned by Lilly Langtree. This was made in France, it dates from around the 1850’s period.

As an antique piece of furniture in its own right, it is a wonderful item, the quality is outstanding and it is beautifully designed. The provenance makes it even more interesting, this was believed to have been owned by Lilly Langtree, the famous English socialite and actress, we do have documentation to support this.

The chest itself is a great size, with extremely fine gilt bronze ormolu mounts and an amazing rouge marble top.

We have had it re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age.
