Antique silver Waltham pocket watch, 1900.

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 7,258,112 which dates it back to around 1900.

The watch measures 56mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the loop. The case is coin silver, also used for silver US coins as the name suggests, at least a 90% pure silver. The inside of the case back refers to an 1885 patent relating to the design of the case stiffener, with the applicant being Ezra C Fitch who became General Manager of Waltham in 1883, and President from 1886 to 1923.

The glass lens is in lovely condition.

The dial is signed looks good to the naked eye. There are a few hairlines but they are very faint, and mostly invisible to the naked eye.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
