Smiths De Luxe All English 9ct Gold Mens Watch with Arabic Numerals 15 jewels
Case diameter 32mm and is 9ct solid gold plated with a screw in back. The thickness is 10.4mm. Dial and hands are excellent. The strap is a long fitting dark brown calf in 16mm.
The 27 c.s 15 jewel movement is in excellent working order and shows excellent timekeeping on the timing machine. This is one of the range of watch''s in what were advertised as waterproof cases that was sold as a part of the Everest range and this is reflected in the fact that this model or a similar one features in a major Smiths advert from the period.
The light patina on this dial ages the watch nicely. A classic design, with all Arabic numerals and subsidiary seconds.
All set in a fully hallmarked (assayed in London), 9ct gold case with straight lugs
