An English late 19th century (circa 1890) finely carved pine wood figure of the Archangel Gabriel, featuring exquisite detailing on the face, hair, body, wings, and the linen folds, as well as fruit and leaves on the lower section. It has a wonderfully warm, rich chestnut colour patina. This piece, which once adorned a church roof as a buttress dressing, is now ready to be displayed with a newly crafted, heavy-duty blacksmith-made hanging bracket, having recently undergone a thorough cleaning and wax polish to highlight its intricate details.
