An outstanding antique Veramin rug, woven circa 1920. The rug features an allover Mina Khani design on a rare sky blue field surrounded by an elegant soft salmon border. Finely woven with fabulous wool quality and great natural dyes including golds and a wonderful soft green. Please note that this shade of blue is particularly difficult to photograph. The colour in the main photo is darker than the rug - the colour in the detail photos is much closer to the actual colour
Size: 1.98m x 1.35m (6ft 6in x 4ft 5in)
This rug is in good condition with light, age related wear, very slightly heavier in a couple of tiny places on the edges (see photos). Fringes and selvedges are secure and it has been professionally cleaned.
