This is a fine quality antique Irish Georgian chest on chest, constructed of solid oak, boasting a stunning Secretaire desk interior, in the Chippendale design, circa 1780, in excellent condition. The highboy chest consists of two halves, with a moulded waist to the base section.

The drawers are decorated with later very good quality brass swan neck handles & fretwork escutcheons.

The drawer front fall is secured by its original iron hooks on either side of the shaped drawer lining and opens to form a writing surface, held in place by red cord.
