Large Antique oak dresser base

This large Antique oak dresser base was made circa 1820.

It is of a good wide size; this shows it was made for one of the more important farmhouses on a large country estate as they would have a kitchen/room big enough to take this size.

It has 4 turned legs to the front that join the pot board base to the usual square back legs.

The pot board with the multiple boards side by side and front to back, where the owners would have stored pots and pans and other necessities for daily life.

Above the pot board are the drawers set above and to each side of the arch to the centre.

Each drawer is fitted wit shaped brass plate handles with the swing handles.

Antique dresser bases look fantastic in so many places around your home, we have placed these behind sofas in hallways, kitchens and drawing rooms.
